Daily Use and Precautions for Gas Cylinders

LNG, when mixed with air or oxygen, can form an explosive gas mixture that will ignite upon contact with an ignition source. Therefore, LNG must be vented through pipelines to a safe location.

Before filling the cylinder, carefully inspect all connections for leaks; if any are found, immediately stop the filling operation and proceed only after tightening and confirming there are no leaks.

A cylinder filled with LNG experiences a rapid pressure rise, which may trigger the safety valve to open; therefore, it should be used as soon as possible and must not be stored for extended periods.

After completing the inspection, slowly open the liquid outlet valve. When opening the valve, fully turn it to the open position and then back a quarter turn to prevent it from seizing. Upon parking, first close the booster shut-off valve, followed by the liquid outlet shut-off valve, and allow the vehicle to stall automatically. If the vehicle will remain parked for more than two days, be sure to close the drain valve as well.

Before operating the vehicle, verify that the gas cylinder is securely fastened to the frame and crossmember, check for leaks at all hose connections, and ensure that all sensor connectors are tightly secured.

When starting the engine, first turn the ignition key to the “ON” position, wait five seconds, and then start the engine to ensure the fuel‑gas line is fully filled with gas. After the engine starts, let it idle for 30 seconds and check that the oil pressure and coolant temperature are normal.

LNG supply system maintenance and repair shall be performed at a specialized service station. When troubleshooting, all cylinder valves must be closed and the piping system depressurized; repairs under pressure are strictly prohibited.
