On May 10, the Society was invited to attend the 2022 Guangxi Guigang LNG Shipbuilding Centralized Commencement Ceremony and New Energy Vessel Application Technology Exchange Event, held in Guiping. The event was hosted by the Guigang Municipal Government and organized by Guiping City, with the Society’s member unit, Suzhou Zhibang Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., serving as a co-organizer. Additionally, another Society board member, Zhongshan Chuangyuan Power Equipment Co., Ltd., was also invited to participate.

Last October, Master Wang purchased a Hongyan LNG tractor. After putting it to work for a while, he gave it his full approval: “Since switching to the Hongyan Jielishi C6 LNG tractor, I’ve cut my fuel costs by nearly 50% compared with my previous diesel rig.” During use, Master Wang made a rough calculation: a diesel truck costs about 221 yuan per 100 kilometers, whereas the SAIC Hongyan natural‑gas model comes in at just 117 yuan per 100 kilometers. The meeting was chaired by Han Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of the province. Attendees included Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor Han Jun, Vice Governor Cai Dong, Provincial Government Secretary-General An Guiwu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Government Zhang Kaiming, Deputy Director of the General Office of the Provincial Government Xi Shumao, Deputy Director of the General Office of the Provincial Government Gao Changbo, and other officials. During the meeting, Governor Han Jun emphasized that supporting the growth and development of “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” SMEs is a powerful measure to build an industrial structure characterized by multiple growth drivers, diversified industries, and multi‑faceted development. It also serves as a crucial pillar for implementing the high‑quality development strategy of “One Main, Six Duals,” and is an essential requirement for leveraging the province’s strengths in science, education, and culture to advance its transformation into an innovation‑driven region. To accelerate the expansion and strengthening of these SMEs, more robust measures must be adopted, a favorable environment fostered, and progress expedited. Specifically: First, we must cultivate and nurture more “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” SMEs. Second, we should support these enterprises in intensifying efforts in R&D innovation and lean management. Third, a tiered, graduated cultivation system should be established, creating a three‑level provincial database of such SMEs and nurturing more national-level “Little Giant” enterprises, single‑product champions, and industry-leading firms. Fourth, we must strengthen service and support mechanisms by setting up dedicated financial service zones, innovating financial products and services, and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of financial support.
