    Automotive refueling configuration

① Low storage pressure, relatively lightweight containers, large storage capacity, and convenient storage and transportation; ② High energy density, fast refueling times, and long driving range (600–800 km); ③ LNG filling stations occupy a small footprint, are simple to construct, require lower investment, have low energy consumption for power equipment, and offer reduced operating costs; ④ LNG can be transported by tanker trucks, allowing station construction to proceed independently of existing pipeline networks, thus facilitating site planning and layout; ⑤ For urban gas operations, substituting LNG for CNG can help ensure a stable gas supply to pipeline‑connected customers. Due to its low storage pressure, LNG vehicle tanks can be manufactured with thinner walls, resulting in a lighter overall weight when filled. LNG also exhibits a higher vaporization ratio, providing superior driving range. Consequently, lightweight passenger vehicles and large trucks have largely phased out CNG conversions in favor of LNG, while small passenger cars have yet to adopt LNG conversion technology.
