On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., Changchun Zhiyuan New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. attended a symposium convened by the provincial government as a representative of “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” small and medium-sized enterprises. The meeting was chaired by Han Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of the province. Attendees included Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor Han Jun, Vice Governor Cai Dong, Provincial Government Secretary-General An Guiwu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Government Zhang Kaiming, Deputy Director of the General Office of the Provincial Government Xi Shumao, Deputy Director of the General Office of the Provincial Government Gao Changbo, and other officials. During the meeting, Governor Han Jun emphasized that supporting the growth and development of “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” SMEs is a powerful measure to build an industrial structure characterized by multiple growth drivers, diversified industries, and multi‑faceted development. It also serves as a crucial pillar for implementing the high‑quality development strategy of “One Main, Six Duals,” and is an essential requirement for leveraging the province’s strengths in science, education, and culture to advance its transformation into an innovation‑driven region. To accelerate the expansion and strengthening of these SMEs, more robust measures must be adopted, a favorable environment fostered, and progress expedited. Specifically: First, we must cultivate and nurture more “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” SMEs. Second, we should support these enterprises in intensifying efforts in R&D innovation and lean management. Third, a tiered, graduated cultivation system should be established, creating a three‑level provincial database of such SMEs and nurturing more national-level “Little Giant” enterprises, single‑product champions, and industry-leading firms. Fourth, we must strengthen service and support mechanisms by setting up dedicated financial service zones, innovating financial products and services, and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of financial support.

Water‑bath vaporizers primarily utilize the engine’s circulating coolant to transfer heat, thereby heating and vaporizing the liquefied gas to bring it up to the temperature and flow rate required by the engine. Combined pressure regulators are designed to reduce the pressure of the vaporized gas, ensuring it meets the engine’s operating pressure specifications while providing stable pressure regulation. In addition to its buffering function, the surge tank can also store a reserve volume of gas. When the vehicle has high power and requires a large gas supply during startup, a surge tank may be installed downstream of the pipeline pressure‑reducing regulator. If space constraints limit installation, or if the vehicle’s power is modest and the length of the gas supply line (which serves a similar buffering role) is sufficient, a surge tank may be omitted.

Structure and Operating Principle
The structure of an LNG vehicle cylinder comprises the inner tank, the outer tank, tank‑side valves, an LNG level sensor, and thermal insulation. The tank is a high‑vacuum insulated vessel designed for storing LNG; its main structure consists of an inner liner and an outer shell, with a vacuum‑filled, thermally insulated space between them. The inner liner is rated for a maximum working pressure of 1.59 MPa, while the design pressure is taken as twice this value. A multilayer insulation system—comprising glass‑fiber paper and smooth aluminum foil—is wrapped around the inner liner’s exterior. Under high‑vacuum conditions, this multilayer material exhibits low thermal conductivity, excellent insulating performance, and light weight. The interlayer also incorporates palladium oxide and molecular sieves to extend the vacuum’s service life. The outer shell is engineered to form an annular space with the inner liner, ensuring superior thermal insulation; the better the insulation, the longer the LNG can be stored in the tank.

Automotive refueling configuration
① Low storage pressure, relatively lightweight containers, large storage capacity, and convenient storage and transportation;
② High energy density, fast refueling times, and long driving range (600–800 km);
③ LNG filling stations occupy a small footprint, are simple to construct, require lower investment, have low energy consumption for power equipment, and offer reduced operating costs;
④ LNG can be transported by tanker trucks, allowing station construction to proceed independently of existing pipeline networks, thus facilitating site planning and layout;
⑤ For urban gas operations, substituting LNG for CNG can help ensure a stable gas supply to pipeline‑connected customers.
Due to its low storage pressure, LNG vehicle tanks can be manufactured with thinner walls, resulting in a lighter overall weight when filled. LNG also exhibits a higher vaporization ratio, providing superior driving range. Consequently, lightweight passenger vehicles and large trucks have largely phased out CNG conversions in favor of LNG, while small passenger cars have yet to adopt LNG conversion technology.

Overview of Vehicle-Mounted LNG
Compared with petroleum, using LNG in vehicles can reduce NOx emissions by approximately 25%, cut NOx emissions by 90%, lower NOx emissions by 40%, and eliminate SO2 and particulate matter emissions entirely—while containing no lead, benzene, or other carcinogenic substances. Relative to petroleum, LNG as a vehicle fuel offers excellent cost‑effectiveness in reducing carbon emissions. Moreover, LNG‑powered vehicles produce 30% to 50% less noise than conventional gasoline or diesel vehicles, significantly enhancing urban quality of life and environmental standards.
